Katticus, about induction being easier than phase 2? I think its kind of true - the only time I have ever agreed with that Ornish quack was when he said "radical changes are easier to do than half-way ones" and I think that's so - if starches and such are just right out of the diet, your system can adjust to their absence, cravings subside. Intestinal flora change, taste sensors adapt, but if you feed these old needs with occasional treats or cheats, it keeps the cravings alive. So maybe a pretty strict induction might paradoxically be 'easier' than a more liberal phase 2. Could Be????
