HI folks,

thanks for the replies. I saw that article about the boy who has to eat junk food- I felt sorry for him, I can't help agreeing with you that there must be other ways to deal with the problem than filling him up with sugar and starch.

Regarding the water- I will try increasing intake and see what happens.

Anne, I think you may be right about the potassium since I remember reading now that it's one of the supplements you're supposed to take. I'll give that a try too.

I guess I could increase salt intake but I don't like it much- years ago I took on board all the stuff about a low salt diet and trained myself away from the taste so I hardly use it at all now. I'll have to increase gradually or add salty things and see what happens.
