Yes you have to monitor fat, carbs and calories. As with any diet. The trick here is to find out what works for you. The old rules still apply---if you put too much in and don't burn it off it will not work.
The good thing about this diet is when eating the right amounts, you don't go hungry. The homework here is to find the right amounts.
