it's not always an impairment of ability to produce insulin, in a lot of cases it's also inability to utulize it, like IR. even if i understand eveything, it doesn't help to get my FBG in normal range, and I'm still confused on my pp readings being sometimes lower when i eat more carbs than less. exercises too mess up my BGs pretty good. so, it's not easy for me at all. it may be more straight forward for T1 on insulin.
