Default HRT Question

I just started my 7th week on Atkins. I am 48. Almost one year ago I had a hysterectomy due to severe fibroids. I had been on BC then finally HRT for the 5 years previous to help control some of the symptoms. Immediately after the hysterectomy I started on HRT (Estratest HS). I was taking double the normal dose because of severe symptoms. 2 months before starting Atkins my dose was decrease to a normal dose (1 tab/day).

Here's the question. Will LCing interfer enough with my estrogen levels that I may need to increase my dose again?

The reason I ask is because the last 3 nights I've suffered severe enough hot flashes that I can't sleep for longer than an hour at a time. This is the same problem I was having previously when my doctor doubled my dose. Doubling my dose eleviated the severe hot flashes at night and allowed me to get the sleep I needed.

I haven't lose that much weight (pound wise) but I have had a significant decrease in my body fat percentage since starting Atkins.

Thanks in advance,
Lori
