Well, there may be something to that leptin/appetite connection, but aren't they forgetting the known role of insulin as an appetite stimulant, via the hypothalmus? Once the insulin is in the bloodstream, one can be ravenously hungry, even though blood sugars are excessive and it is being stored as fat.As to bp, my diet, Dr Bernstein's, allows less than 30gm carb, perhaps 19oz protein, and all the rest of my caloric intake comes from fat, saturated at that. My bp is usually 113/68.
