It's not just the sugaring kits that have this warning; it's regular hot wax too. It has nothing to do with the sugar being absorbed. It's because diabetics tend to have impaired circulation and possible nerve damage in the feet and legs ... they may not be able to feel if the product is too hot, resulting in 1st and even 2nd degree burns. These injuries can then be very difficult to heal and risk becoming infected. There's probably a similar warning for varicose veins too.
