Nuts will 'bind' you (make you constipated). Your body is going through enough changes during the first two weeks, so it's just easier to let you body get accustomed to your new eating habits.

I'm into my 3rd week here and nuts have not been a problem since we did get them as soon as the Induction part of over. We do measure the allowable amounts and try to have only one or two servings a day, examples: a serving of macdamins(sp?) nuts as a snack, and two tbsp of slivered almonds or sunflower seeds for our dinner salad.

Personally, I want to learn to exercise control over my intake. I do this now knowing that it will be key as I allow certain foods back into my life.
