Water retention will do that, especially for us females. Ask yourself what time of the month it is and could that be it. Even without TOM your weight can vary. Yeah, don't weigh everyday. It's asking for trouble. There is no way you gained actual fat equal to 5 pounds in one day. To gain just one you have to have 3500 EXCESS calories. So don't worry about it.
