Get the evil insanity-inducing scale out of your house. It can't drive you crazy if it's not there!!

Of course, you will need to check your weight every so often -- but try do it away from home -- I rely on the scales at the gym. Since I weigh myself only naked, and before I've eaten or drunk anything for the day, and since it's very inconvenient to get to the gym first thing in the morning before I've had even a sip of water, I find I weigh myself only about once a week by necessity.

Giving up the scales is like giving up carbs. Once they've been out of your life for a week or two, you don't even miss 'em! And you find that you just start going by the way your clothes fit,

There's a woman here who weighs only 2 lbs less than I do, and is my height -- and wears a dress size TWO SIZES smaller (10) than I do (14) -- because she's fitter than I am, has more muscle mass!! So that's how much the scale tells you -- practically nothing.
