Seriously, your system sounds fine. If you're ever in doubt, do use the Hidden Carb tool that I gave the link for above. All you have to do is type in the numbers given on the label, then Go. It'll calculate for you .... and at the bottom you'll see where it says "Difference by weight" ... if it's zero, then the subtracting has already been done for you. If you get a negative number, then you should subtract the grams of fiber. If you get a postive number, then beware ... the product contains hidden carbs that have not been declared on the label (this is most likely to happen with the lowcarb protein bars, and sugar-free treats and candies ...... in most "real" food the carbs are accounted for)
