Carbs minus fiber is your ECC (effective carb count)....but....be careful because that does not necessarily take hidden carbs into account. If you are on this diet for "sugar" reasons then ECC works for you because the hidden carbs do not affect your sugar level. Otherwise, you need to watch out for them.
