I think there is something to this and am experimenting, myself. When I have a fairly big cheat, I will lose right after that. I'm not sure if it is extra carbs or extra calories. If you check out the thread in the General Low Carb list, the one that mentions messing up your metabolism, sorry can't remember what it says exactly...it talks about this somewhat.
I don't see myself ever pigging out on just carbs. Even eating a 1/2 a sweet potato has sent me into a blood sugar crash that I don't want to experience again. That's why I'm looking into whether it's carbs or calories. I won't be able to post anymore on this until next weekend as I'm going on a week long retreat.
