I hear lexapro is great...have you called your insurance company to find out what lame excuse they have for not covering it? Your doc may be able to give you a different dx so they will cover it.

As for the types of SSRIs/meds...it depends on your diagnosis and what works for you. I've been on many, and I know that the world is much safer when I'm on something that works. After my last brilliant plan that I'd save $$ by going off them <snip twisted version of Dr. Suess' "Oh, the Places You'll Go!">, I'm now on Celexa, Wellbutrin and Topamax. Topamax is supposed to help recovering drunks stay off the sauce. So far, so grand.

I've only been on this plan a few days, but wow, I've already seen a drop in the belly. Even the beloved one noticed this morning! I also have a total of 80 lbs to lose, but I am relieved that it appears the meds are not a problem so far. Effexor wreaked total havok on my appetite when I took it. goatblimp!

Hope this helps...just don't go off it w/out doc's approval, ok?

"stablely" yours, (punny, huh?)
