Default Brown Cow yogurt carbs....

I contacted Brown Cow about the carbs in their yogurt after reading the posts on this board about yogurt having fewer net carbs than shown on the label because of the live cultures eating the lactose.

This was their reply:
"Our Brown Cow Label of ingredients takes in account of the breakdown of lactose in the milk. Once you have eaten the yogurt the cultures in the yogurt are still working at breaking down the lactose which helps you digest the milk product better.

Your question was regarding the 12 grams of carbohydrate in a one cup serving, and if after the breakdown there are only 4. After researching we found that the grams left in the yogurt are approximately 9.3."

Bummer -- I love yogurt in general and Brown Cow in particular. I will have to wait until pre-maintenance or maintenance to eat it again.

The 9.3 grams of net carbs also explains why I am always hungrier than usual on the mornings after I eat it.
