I know some people use coconut oil as a thermogenic - for people with sluggish thyroid it can stimulate the thryoid a little.
I was seeing a Naturopath years ago and one of the things she had me do was drink a tablespoon of cold pressed sesame oil every day. It was interesting. But it gave me a great appreciation for sesame oil. I still enjoy the taste very much. If you like olive oil try some extra virgin cold pressed olive oil. The taste is very pure.
