Question Mayo Clinic Diet

A couple of years ago, I went on the Mayo Clinic Diet. I got a piece of paper that was photocopied from somewhere and it listed things to eat and not to eat, including 1/4 cup of grapefruit juice with each meal.

This was my very first try at a serious diet and the first time I had ever heard of a high protein/low carb diet. I lost about 30 pounds in a year's time and felt better than I had in a really long time.

Then, not too long ago, I heard somewhere that there was no such thing as the Mayo Clinic Diet, at least not put out by the Mayo Clinic. I don't know who did put it out, but whoever it was, thank you.

Does anyone out there have a clue as to what I am talking about? Does anyone else have a little grapefruit juice with their meals? It seemed to make me feel fuller and also to satisfy my sweet tooth.

I am trying PP now, but I really miss the grapefruit juice. Any thoughts out there?
