Breakfast ideas?

Hey everybody, I 've been surfing around reading all your great posts and I have really enjoyed reading all the information...

I am wondering if you have any practical suggestions for breakfast. See the problem for me is that I don' like having veggies for breakfast...ick The omelette thing is getting old and its only day 3!!

Thanks if you have any input!!

After 9 weeks on the program I too have had an egg "issue". I have tried many of the available alternatives bu tmy favorite (found on this board of course) is protein pancakes-You need to buy some soy based 100% protein powder. You can get in grocery stores or even Walmart.

Mix-2 tbs. oil
2 tbs. heavy cream
1 tbs splenda
dash vanilla
1 egg
Then stir in 1 scoop of the protein powder and fry on buttered skillet.

I love these-they are not as fluffy as regular pancakes but have a pancake taste-no off tastes.

Welcome to this way of eating.

i second the pancake breakfast idea :)
my staple breakfast is either protein/fibre based pancakes or eggs & cheese. i usually use soy or whey protein plus some ground flax seeds, ground almonds, ground oatmeal, etc. (my ever-changing recipe is on p.1 of my journal, i think). i don't even put sweetner in them b/c i find that vanilla and cinnamon make them seem sweet anyway. i sometimes use e.d. smith sugar-free syrup and/or plain yogurt on top as well. lately i've been making them 'savory' style - with some dried thyme and parsley and then melting some cheese on top. so good. kinda like toast and cheese.

as well, if you only eat 3 for breakfast, you can have leftover pancakes for low-carb 'dessert'/'bread', which is nice.

Something I have done in the past is the porkrind pancake... which sounds grose but with enought cinnamin it can taste really good... my dad when I was a kid would make as cinnimaon (ops can't spell) sugar spread for waffels etc... I end up making a little with splenda... yummers...

I have been getting back into the Bacon and Scrambled eggs....with a teensy bit of ketchup

Somedays I don;t eat breaky but then I eat an early lunch and need a snack during the day....
