hi,
I too was diagnosed with pcos and hypothyroid within the last two years. I gained about 40-45 lbs as a result. I think any type of hormonal problems can make losing weight more difficult but Atkins is the only thing that has worked for me. I tried low fat, high fiber from my naturopath and gained. I've lost about 25 lbs now on this WOL and have way more energy. I tried many bcp's and they made me loopy. I just started Metformin over a week ago so i'm hoping that will help. So good luck with it, not that you'll need it :) Danyele |
Oh! I'm not trying to have children either... glad to see that I'm not the only one.
