Anyone tried Dyna Whey?

I am relatively cheap (I quit my boring job to do volunteer work in my actual trained field.) so I'm always looking for inexpensive low carb treats. At superstore I saw some Dyna Whey brand protein shake mixes for only $30(Can) for 908g. In comparison to other brands this is a great price. It comes in 3 flavours: chocolate banana, orange vanilla, and strawberry kiwi. Has anyone tried this? Is it worth getting?

hi Laura-Lyn,

I've had the DynaWhey before ... chocolate-banana and the orange one. They were gross, very fake tasting. I ended up throwing them out, because even with cream, yogurt, berries and other ingredients added, there was still a bitter after-taste. I also found it hard to mix .. you need a blender to get out all the lumps and clumps, and even so there's a gritty texture, almost like soy. I had to double-check the label to make sure it didn't have soy in it.

I really enjoy the taste of Interactive Whey, made in Canada. It costs more, but actually you get more for the same weight ... one serving has 34g protein, whereas the DynaWhey is only 23g prot. per serving. There are other good brands too. My experience with the protein powders is that you do get what you pay for.

Just my 2¢ though .. someone else may have had a better experience with it.

Doreen
