:wave: ive just started the Atkins diet 3 days ago, the first 2 days were really hard!! but now i still have cravings, but not as bad. does anyone have some great low carb snack? :wave: :wave:

Hi there and welcome!

You'll find the cravings will gradually disappear. Until they do, I've found L-Glutamine, 500mg ½ hour before each meal to be very helpful.

As for the snacks, how about looking at our Quick Meals and Snacks section for some ideas?

Do have a good look around this great forum of ours. There's a lot of very useful information on the orange bar at the top of the screen, especially "Low Carb Tips."

Hi lr,

I've been low carbing for just over a year now. My weight loss has certainly been slow, but as I take several medications that slow things down, I don't mind too much.

More importantly, my general health is much better. My symptoms of IBS/diverticulosis have all but gone and I no longer need to take cholesterol lowering medication. In fact my HDL and triglycerides are far better off the meds and on LC.

So, yes, I consider low carbing to be working well for me! :)

Hi :wave: and Welcome

I have a package of pepperoni slices on hand and when I am a little hungry for a snack I eat 14 pepperoni slices for 140 calories, O carbs. I also sometimes spread cream cheese with chives on the slice or there are some low carb dips you can dip them into for just a few extra calories and maybe 1-2 carbs.
