Because I have M.S. and have difficulty in walking, even short distances, walking is out. Can anyone give me any idea of what Exercise I can do. Because I was very active before this depresses me a lot.

Thanks a lot.

Suggestion

Hi,

I don't presume to know very much about MS, but I did speak to a friend who has it and she suggested that you try some sort of watersport if it's convenient, like swimming or aqua-aerobics.

I looked up a MS website (UK one) and they also suggested that exercise in the water is very common amongst MS sufferers. Here is the link if you'd like to read what they said.

Hope that helps.

Can your doctor recommend you to a physical therapist or trainer who could help you devise a good exercise program?

I had a friend that had injured his lower body and was unable to run for about 3 months. Just to try to keep his metabolism up he would do chair excercises. It was an excercise program that he did upper body aerobics. He seemed to like it and it helped him to keep from gaining weight until he got back on his feet.
