Induction foods not on list?

Are there foods safe for induction that are not on the list in the book? I've seen a few posts where people eat things like sugar free jello, pork rinds, etc.--I'd like to know what foods not listed are safe for induction (makin my grocery list!). BTW, if there is a list or similar thread somewhere please point me to it. Thank you.

SF Jello was not on the list but I indulged everyday. It kept me cheat free and satisfied my sweet tooth. Otherwise i did not stray from the list even cutting out caffiene and diet soda.

Good luck!!

Be cautious is my advice. Don't eat anything that isn't on the list in the Atkins book. As far as sugar free products go...some people they affect, some they don't.

Also remember that some people when on induction in fact DON'T do it correctly, so those eating pork rinds on induction....because they are doing it doesn't mean it's right. :p

It's only two weeks, and in my humble opinion, you can't go wrong sticking to the list, drinking lots of water, staying away from too much salt. After induction you can experiment with other things and see if they slow you down. In my case, sweeteners don't seem to bother me....salt does. Some people stall eating cheese. Everyone is different, and induction isn't the time to find out what your quirks are. You have the rest of your life for that... :D

Good point!!

I was mainly wondering bc I would like to do induction for more than 2 weeks if possible, so maybe I'll wait until at least the 2 wks. is up to experiment with anything not on the list. Thanks!

On the induction list are "all pork products" making pork rinds okay.

Jell-o is also an animal product, but aspartame is not recommended on the Atkins plan. You could, like I did, try making your own with unflavored gelatin, kool aid flavoring, and Splenda.

Yes, stick to the list, but it does help to be creative!

Best of luck to you. :)

OOOOOOOOOOHH, didn't think of that!

Admittedly, me either...but I watch them carefully because of sodium intake. ( BUT I LOVE THEM!!!!! )

I guess my point was...that if you stick to the list, the chances are less of becoming a victim of mis-information!

Btw.....pork rinds crushed make a wonderful breading!!!!

I definitely agree about the sodium. I find the scale agrees with me more when water's running right through me and I'm not a salt monger. Pork rinds are good when you're desperate for some good crunch.
