What did I do wrong??
 
started atkins again for 2nd time at beginning of the year. Lost 65 lbs. last year. went off for surgery indecember. started back1-1-03.on 1-17-03 I weighed in. I havent lost a single pound!!!!i am doing virtually the same as last time. Meat, salad,eggs, water, some diet pop,and sugar free jello for a snack.I occasionally get a large cappucino with half and half and sugar free vanilla.(this may be the culprit)I cant figure out why I didnt lose any weight. last time I lost 13 lbs. in first 2 weeks!!the only thing I am doing different is using Davinci syrup in my coffee in the morning with heavy whipping cream.This stuff is supposed to be no sugar, no carbs, are there hidden sugars in here.Somebody help before I jump ship!!!! :confused:

Pat remeber the past is the past forget it and move on. The second time around may be a little slower. I am not having any of the things you mentioned and am losing steadly. Hope some one can help you in that area this is only day ten for me. Sorry I could not help but I will give you all the suport I can. Hang in there the weight will come off as well as the inches. Good luck to you and please keep us posted.

Pat, hi there. kdavis84 is right, second time around can be slower. Your body has learned about LC and it's no longer such a 'treat'.

Any or all of those things you mentioned might be effecting your rate of loss. There could be other things as well. It's possible you're not eating enough or you're eating too much. It's possilbe you're not getting enough water in. Are you on any meds that might interfer with fat burning?

What I recommend is starting up a Journal where you can keep track of your menus and your activities. This way we can stop by and see what you're eating or not eating and offer advice.

I also recommend you get out a tape measure and do some recording. It's very common when LCing to see no scale movement but be losing inches. Having this second set of numbers to gauge loss can be very motivating.

thanks for the ideas guys!!!I forgot about losing inches and no scale movement.Dont worry! I am on Atkins induction till April or May 1st (depending on loss) because I feel alot better when I am on it. I will start my journal this morning and let you know what I am eating that I may be suspicious of.I remembered that i am having 2 stalks of celery with Hidden valley Ranch dressing for a snack at 10 am. this may also be the culprit.but I dont each much salad if at all!!I went from 278 to 236 from 1-1-02 to 9-1-02 and went down from size 32 pant to size 24 pant so i am really not complaing , I just couldnt figure it out.thanks again!! :daze:

Yes... keep a journal.

FYI - salad and celery good. You are supposed to be eating minimally 2-3 cups of allowed veggies daily. This will never be what you will cut out.

Just to remind yourself what is allowed.

Things that are known to stall others can be:
nuts and seeds
SF products and sodas
LC bars, snacks
Dressings and dips over 2 carbs a serving
not eating enough
