are atkins bars allowed during induction?

i was wondering if atkins bars are allowed during induction. Also if a person messes up during induction should they go back to the beginning and start over? For example, I accidentally had a few nuts and sunflower seeds which i found out were not allowed. What should I do?

Kimberly,

Even if the bars are allowed, I wouldn't take them during induction. Be carefull of them after induction also. They may effect your progress. I wouldn't worry too much about the nuts, but I would complete induction with only approved foods; the less processed, the better. In your copy of DANDR (if you don't have one, get one), there is a chapter on induction. It tells you the the foods that are OK. I made 2 copies (wrote them by hand for better retention) and put one on the fridge. The other I carried with me. This way there is no question when shopping or eating out.

I may have been a bit direct, but changing your way of eating requires commitment. If you make that commitment YOU WILL WIN!!! The copy of DANDR we bought back in August is already well worn. To be successfull, we need to follow the rules.

I wish you success!!!

The induction list in the book says no bars.

The website says you can have them. (But of course, they make money from them.)

Most people recommend that you don't have them because of possible stalls or weight gain.

You don't want to finish two weeks of induction and then wonder if you would have lost more if you hadn't had those bars.

Also, induction can be used to change your tastebuds so you won't crave that sweet taste anymore. Invaluable!
