Atkins and BFL?

I just had a call from my doctor telling me the results of my blood work. I have high cholestrol (267) a first for me. He said that my thyroid was normal and that the dosage of thyroid hormone was right for me. But I am 48 yrs old, 5'2" and 182lbs!

I have read the Atkins book and the BFL book. I know I need to make a life change NOW!My question is this? Can I do the Atkins and follow the BFL exercises?

I really need to get that cholestrol down.
