5 days of induction "have a small ques"

Hi there! I am starting this for the second go around. I tried Adkins about 8 months ago and gave up after 2 weeks. I never read the book and thought I could do it on my own, and well I learned the hard way. What I did lose I gained it all back.
I purchased Dr. Adkins New Diet Revolution book the other day, I have been in induction for 5 days now. I am doing very well. My husband says he can tell a difference in my face that I have lost some weight. I know this is water loss, but it makes me feel positive when someone else notices.
I have a question.... Is it possible for one to eat a adkins candy bar with only 2 net grams during induction? I did not see anything about that in the book. Someone let me know.
Thanks,

Hello and welcome! I vote on skipping them for now. ;) They're often stallers. It would be best to wait until after induction, then try them. You might be able to get away with it.

Happy new year!

I'm doing what Kristine is mentioning. I went to the local nutriation store and looked at everything labelled "Low Carb". I saw the atkins bars with the 2g "Net" but total carbs in the 20's. I decided not to risk it, since I'm on induction aswell.

It seems like a loophole in the carb laws (if there are such things) which make these bars 2g 'Net' Carbs. My idea of induction is it's similar to cold turkey (not that I've ever experienced Cold Turkey myself), so I'm trying everything I can to stay on the wagon, even if it means being a little stricter and not quite believing those 'Net' carb counts.

Stick with it,

I agree with everyone else, Bama. Best to stick with the
foods that are Atkins' list for induction--it's only two weeks
and then you can add on the bars and see how they work for
you.

Good luck  !
