does this really and truly work?

I asked this yesterday, but I have to hear something 7 times before it sinks in, especially if it seems too good to be true.

My breakfast
2eggs fried in butter

Lunch
breaded chicken breast
chocolate donut

Dinner
salad with oil and red wine vinegar (1carb)

Can I really lose weight eating like this?

I'm not a CALP expert, but the Reward Meal is a balance of protein, vegetables and the carb item of choice. A salad is eaten before the RM. It's all eaten within an hour and if you go back for seconds, it has to be a balance of all three items again.

Have you read the CALP book yet? It's chock full of good information as to how and why the plan works as well as RM guidelines, Options and recipes.

I'm not sure

I looked at what you listed, and I can't see why you wouldn't lose, as long as you're following all the rules (no snacks, 1 hr limit, etc). For what it's worth, I eat a LOT more than you (check out my journal for the gory details), yet I have been losing.

It Works!!

Eat, girl, eat! I don't think you are eating enough. Where did you test out? A CA actually needs carbs to lose weight and feel well. Serriously, are you getting enough to eat? Are you hungry? Check out some of the journals of CAD/CALPers and see what they eat.

If this diet is for you, it really works. You should know if it's for you in 1-2 weeks. Trust me!

:D Simply in one word "yes" it does work. I agree with Zule you can eat much more and still lose. Dont deprive yourself. Its a good life!!

thanks everyone, ok I'm gonna go for it.

Karen, I haven't read or even own the CAD book. I've gathered from others that you don't have to balance with some CAD plans, but you're right I need to read the book.

Karen,

Yes it sure does work!!

It is important to balance your meals, so that way you are getting the right nutritional benefits. However, sometimes an unbalanced RM is either: 1)Unevitable or 2)Just what you want to do :)

Total on this diet, I've had cheesecake (with REAL sugar), ice cream, pizza, beer, etc. I honestly can't think of any other diet that can allow you to lose weight, and feel great while even TOUCHING these kinds of foods. Of course, I don't eat them in abundance, but even still, having those foods is a huge treat.

Have fun!!!
