Hey jim,
you look great. I think you look about twenty years younger too. Its amazing how weight actually ages a person besides the dreaded fat that goes with it. Your wife must feel like she has a new man. wow! It must feel good when somebody hugs you and can actually put there arms all the way around you. Big hugs from rhode island and keep it up buddy.

Sweet.

You all are so sweet, and victory is so-o-o sweet too. I don'twant any candy! Hugs to you all.

My wife loves it too. She has often said she was looking for me and has looked directly at me even just in an isle in the store and had seen me and it didn't register. She is so-o-o funny.

WTG! wow. I wonder if I'll have the discipline to stick it out and end up with a fine result as you have.

PS; will check your journal and see if there are any refs to your singing/songs...

chinatown Sat, Dec-07-02 21:18

umm... no journal? Or at least its not obvious where it is....

Jimsgems Sun, Dec-08-02 00:09

Sorry...

Sorry Chinatown;

I don't do journals, just too busy. I'll be happy to answer any questions here of via e:mail.

My singing is as a bass singer in a Southern Gospel Quartet. I'd frankly be amazed if one of my upside down friends from Down-Under had a clue about this type of music. It is a Down South Christian Music popular in the 1940's to the 1960's recently it has undergone a revival Bill Gather is at the forefront of that movement. Something must be right, we are booked well into next March.

"Jericho" is a music ministry, as for all the members of the group. interestingly I was a classically trained singer a real low Basso Profundo (LOL) and just hated the theather scene and so for many years I didn't sing at all. Now I do. We are having a lot of success at the moment, not much money, but a lot of success. It's the process that is important, not the $$$

We have a CD Project underway and we should be in studio just after the first of the year. We have two new people in the group, myself and a new baratone. Our current CD isn't much, the new one will be very good, the sound is much better balanced.
This is "Jericho"

Our churches are small but 'vital'. We have a monthly mens music (MMM) night at one of the churches, on rotation. The denomination is Independent Church of Christ. We sing hymns without accompaniment, men and sons only. A good event sees the roof lifted with the church half full; 30-50 men of God all singing. It is an encouragement to the pastor of the particular church it occurs at since he may only have 12 men on their church roll. Some have only 3 or 4. To be in a larger group is very uplifting. The low ceilings and confines of a small wooden church have a great sound, excellent acoustics, without any mikes etc.

This would be miles different to the audiences that see Jericho I bet. But the spirit is the same.
