Weighing foods on Atkins

OK I just worked my way through the three "weighing your salad" posts. I guess you have convinced me - I need to start weighing my food since i have truly stalled out for the last 4 to 6 weeks. Now, where to find a digital scale? I live in a small town. I did find an analog scale at Long's Drug Store but it really doesn't look accurate. Anybody got any internet ideas for something not too expensive?

Thanks, Katie

If I remember correctly its $56.95, which came to $101 CDN with shipping. Very nice scales, 150gx0.1g accuracy.

A little pricy for weighing out food though, I personally bought mine for other reasons :P

Do you have a kitchenware store or stationery store where you live? You can get a postal scale at a stationery store and they're usually not that expensive.

Hi!

I have a small scale that I found at Target. I don't know if you have a Target store in your area. It is a simple scale that weighs up to 8 ounces. It was ridiculously cheap -- like $6.99 or so.

Most stores that carry kitchen supplies will carry an adequate scale.

Good luck :)

Bought the digital scale

How did I get by without this? I bought the Sunbeam Postal scale yesterday and it was the best $$$$ I ever spent! What a pleasure weighing out food. The manual scale is going out in the garbage.

Gosh, I may even throw out all my measuring spoons and cups. ;)
