cheating, but not intentional, part of my job!

hi... just wanted some advice on this. I work for a food ingredient company, and part of my job is to bring finished samples of ice cream, milk, chocolate, cakes (everything we can't have) to a customer and evaluate it with them... i've so far lost 20 lbs on the atkins diet and just want to lose about 15 more lbs, have stayed on induction the whole time except for some strawberries i cheated on after i lost 15 lbs. but is my work slowing down the weight loss? also.... i get offered food by my clients, like rolls, donuts, etc.. how can i say no???? is it ok to just have a small bite of whatever is in front of me?

another thing, i have to entertain a lot and that includes loads of beer and wine.. if i stay off the beer and say opt for a gin tonic, is that better?

Whoa! There was a time where I would have LOVED your job! :D YUM!

You're already familiar with the products you're introducing to them, right? Would the "I have medical problems" excuse work? You could even say you're diabetic. (IMO, lying is okay when the lie is to cover up something that isn't any of their business. :) )

Generally, it *might* be okay for you to have a "small bite," but most people find it easier to just say no. YMMV.

Yes, you're correct about the gin and tonic. :) You could also ask if they have anything else sugar-free.

Sounds like a fun job :yum:, but probably not easy while doing the Atkins.

If you take *one* bite, it could make you get cravings for more. If you can really make sure you will not eat more, why not take a bite, it shouldn't hurt much, but becareful what you are eating.

good luck
