Need lunch ideas

The semester is getting ready to start again and I won't have time to go home and fix something on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At school I do have access to a fridge. What are some fast and easy ideas to take to eat. Since of course I can't have bread I can't take a sandwich so I am out of ideas. I don't want a piece of lunchmeat and cheese everyday. I will also have to eat supper on Tuesdays at school because I don't get out of class until 9:30.

Thanks!! :D

Egg salad or Tuna salad are both yummy by the spoonful and you can add celery, onions and other yummy crunchy stuff to make it different everytime. Also, you can use a lettuce leaf as your bread if you do want to eat it that way.

Hope that helps a bit.....Do you have a microwave at school??? If so, then you are unlimited to food, just make left overs of whatever you are making and enjoy them at school later.

simple roll ups

I sometimes wrap deli meat around a stick of sharp cheddar to make a sandwich roll up. It is easy and portable in a baggie. The equivalent to brown bagging a sandwich without the bread. You dont have to do it every day. Once or twice a week it is pretty good, however. Think ham and cheddar, or turkey and swiss. Pretty tasty.

I have to eat quite a few of these or take a boiled egg too. Of course I still do the diet coke thing with this -- love the bubbles.

And there are always the leftovers.

I wish I liked lettuce because diced chicken on salad always looks good. The only salad things I'll eat are carrot sticks, zuccini sticks and yellow squash sticks.

meal replacement bar

You might consider a meal replacement bar or shake for a meal. Not very filling in my opinion, but would make for a change. Too bad they are so expensive. But then they do cost less than a meal I suppose.

If you like fahita's you might make the "tortilias" and take one of those along. I have been missing them and just noticed a posting on how to make soem fake ones

I hope you get some more posts because I'm busy looking for take-along food for the days I cant make it home for lunch too.

Good luck fellow okie!
