Cream Cheese

Is cream cheese allowed on induction? I've had the greatest temptation for one of Nat's mock danish's, and cream cheese and celery sticks.

Yes you can. Keep in mind that cheese is limited to 3 ounces(my books not near me right now but I'm thinking it was 3) and also remember that SOME cheeses will cause a weight stall. I did better on white cheeses than orange ones.

Good luck....cin

Thanks. So I should include cream cheese in my 4 ounces of cheese. I'd be eating something like Philadelphia cream cheese. mmmm....now I can have it w/o feeling guilty!

Hi Suz

The link you are looking for for Mock Danish is in the sweet treats bit of the recipes section, however click on the link above to take you there.

DK - beside having cream cheese on its own, or in a mock danish, I have it as a pudding. I blend 200g (7 oz) (could easily do 8 oz)into sugar free jelly (jello) (20 fl oz) and leave it to set. For me this makes 4 puddings.

Cream cheese is often a low carbers friend and once out of induction you can also use it to make cheese cakes. There are recipes for these in the sweet treats section.
