Audacious August Blitz
 
Well this is the Audacious August Blitz - glad you found it and ....welcome. You may have come here from the July LC Crackdown Mega- effort - if so G'day - if not - G'day!!

We are here to support one another for the month of August and lose some bulk.



I am starting this thread a singalong (pictures of hunks may come later!) - I'm sure you will know the tune.

la la la la la - just warming the vocal chords.......

MY GOALS FOR THE AUDACIOUS AUGUST BLITZ ARE:

1. Drink at least 1 glass of water before each meal and snack and on rising
2. Cut the carbage (25 per day max)
3. Limit diet soft drink and chemicals
4. Take one day at a time
5. Take my food if I have to and eat before I go
6. Be a loser!!! :eek:

Hope these make sense to you - they make sense to me.

Maybe it's because it's not August 1st here.... I must be on Aussie time, cause it's not even August 1st in Germany yet! :confused:

I have a trip planned for November and I need to lose about 25lbs to feel comfortable in one of "THOSE" seats! :eek: That's 25/3=8.333, which is 8lbs must go by the end of this Audacious month.

1. Increase daily water intake to 100 oz. (about 60 oz right now)
2. Swim laps 4X's a week (2X's is my max so far :rolleyes: )
3. No cheats until Audacious August 31st (will be reconsidered on that day whether to forego until end of Sept. )

Eight pounds!? What the heck did you do? Telling them you're going to lose eight pounds in one month! I taught you better than that! Geezz, eight freakin pounds.... What the hell are you thinking girl! Slammm........

Wendye- Thanks for starting this thread. U're brilliant.

In August, I will try to:
(1) Drink 6L of water a day (Now averaging 4L to 5L).
(2) Eat no more than 13 times my body weight in calories (Been eating like 16 times my weight :eek: ).
(3) Have 30g to 40g of ECC carbs a day. Preferably from veggies.
(4) Post my menu everyday, like I used to do.
(5) Not fight with DH :p :p :p
(6) Remember to take my supplements everyday, instead of twice a week.

All right, in this dog-day month I will:

1. Drink more water and then more water. I will start upon waking.

2. Eliminate carbage entirely from the home. I will not be tempted by carbage that's in the pantry for the kids.

3. Take my supplements!!

4. Exercise every day!

5. Post my daily menu.

Wendye and Rustpot, I love your creativity! OOPS, don't let me get srarted on that in this thread. I've already created havoc in dear Ela's Artist Corner. Sorry Ela--I love your enthusiasm and your art.

I'm not making any promises, but I will try, TRY, TRY

I really need to do this. The end of the month is when I go to the fair in my hometown. It is like a huge family reunion--I will see everyone I knew growing up and all my classmates from school. This is a 10 day, live in a tent, county fair. You can't hide there!

Thanks for starting this Blitz, Wendye. We need to stick together and get this job done!

Thanks for starting the thread dobber - oops, Wendye. You're a good kid.


GOALS :


1 ) Build muscle. I shall attack the fat this way. And re-shape my body.

2 ) Become more irresistable to the LC ladies. This will be very difficult, but I shall endeavour with this almost impossible task.

3 ) Still keep low on those carbs. 30 a day is enough, thank you.

4 ) Keep that exercise up. It's good. If you're not doing it, give it a whirl. I enjoy it.

5 ) Charm further LC ladies. But having said that, I have a pretty good group. Remember Ela, LJ, Wendye, Plum, DB ; I am not going AWOL. Just adding to the group. And variety is the spice of life, as they say :D

Atkid, I hope you follow the rule for how to add to your group... The group must approve or it's back to the search of finding the Right one. All possible additions must be approved by mentioned LC ladies of said group in your last post. Hey, that kinda sounded lawyer like... right? :D

Geez, Wendye... how long is it going to take you to sit down... Bebe can't see me on the other end with you blocking her view.. :D

I would like to join in the fun, if that is ok with you all! I saw so many familiar faces here I thought I could join in w/ my friends!

My August goals:
1. After my basketball season is over in mid-August, get back into the swing of things w/ good heavy lifting!
2. Do at least 3-4 mornings of Am cardio a week
3. Drink lots of water! Trying to keep this over 5 L or so.
4. Keep my calories up to at least 10x my bodyweight (it's so hard w/ this heat!)
5. Remember to take my supplements!!!
6. Get my protein intake to at least 140 g/day
7. Get ready for my new job!

Hiya Fern - welcome - we sure do like having new faces - not that yours is new - just new here.
You've got 4 t-bones - that's quite impressive. Welcome aboard - all you need to be here is a sense of humour and a will to melt those pounds away!! It also helps to be just a shade crazy :eek:

Ela - That is one HUGE picture - I know this is a low-carb site but the size of that thang is rediculous :lol: You will be pleased to know I am now sitting!

Hi AAB gang,

I didn't do so well in July - although I have dropped 4-5 lbs in the last 10 days during my reinduction. But even when I was eating for Australia (I was sick! On steroids! Couldn't help it! Really!), I didn't eat any carbage, just waaaay too much cheese, nuts and other stuff that should be eaten with discretion.
I'm a new girl now, and this month will see me shrinking for Australia! (I wonder if that could be an event in the next Commonwealth Games?)

1. No nuts
2. No more than 3-4 oz cheese
3. No more than 1 alcoholic drink a week
4. Regular exercise - and plenty of it!
5. No more than 3 fl oz cream a day - and not every day!
6. No LC cheesecake. I went a touch beresk on that while the steroid hunger was attacking.
7. In fact, no LC sweet things at all - apart from Mock Danish, which I am just discovering is really not too bad!

That'll do, pig.

Hi can I join in too??

After lunch with Wende and Lucy today I did say I would join in the AAB.

I need to be as close as possible to my goal by the end of Ausgust so I can go shopping for my 'mother of the bride' outfit.
So I must......

Drink MORE water
Remember to take my suppliments
Cardo exercise 6 days a week and start lifting weights
at least 3 times a week
Sick to my LC eating plan (NO walnuts)my biggest downfall
Cut down on my cheese another downfall

and remember to :) :) :)
