corn meal

Hi all  I was wondering about corn meal I have never cooked with corn meal. And I was wondering if corn meal is high or low on carbs? Also popcorn twist has corn meal, veg oil, salt and colour for ingredients. Which I'm really craving some popcorn twist right now. :yum: I'm pretty sure corn meal is a flour related product. Can any one help me with this?

1 cup of yellow corn meal has 107 grams of carbohydrate 10 of which is fiber.

I would say that is a pretty high carb item ;)

WOW! I sure didn't think they were that high in carbs. I guess it's back to the pork rinds. Is there any other junks food that is low in carbs? (got the muchies)

Pretty sure that is a no for other snack foods, aside from Pork Rinds.

I bought some Pork Rinds just to see what they were like, and after one bite, threw the bag out!

I have stayed away from all snack foods! I have seen a great recipe for cheese chips on one of the boards. I am sure this isn't exact, but it involved slicing some cheese and microwaving until the cheese turned into a "chip"!

:wiggle:
