Diet Rite Addiction...

Well, it happened. I finally got my hands on some 'Tangerine Diet Rite'. I figured, 'What the hell- it's sweetened with Splenda and it probably won't taste THAT good anyways'. Well, I was wrong. The stuff really reminds me of 'Sunkist'. I had 3 cans of it yesterday. I know that the citric acid kicks some people out of ketosis, however, I checked the keto-stix this morning and it was the usual- dark purple. So, here's MY question (yes, even I ask questions) ...are a few cans of 'Diet Rite' a day going to wreck havoc on my diet (TKD)? If I have to drop the stuff, I can. However, it's something that might actually keep me sane as I progress on the TKD. Any insights or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Not fair!

I have been looking and looking for this flavor! Where did you find it?

If it is not kicking you out of ketosis, go for it. Just make sure you are drinking your h20 as well.

There is a low carb recipe using the Tangerine Diet Rite , heavy cream and ice cubes. Throw it in a blender and you get kind of a creamy dessert type drink. That is why I want to find this drink! lol

PS: I wanted to invite you to another bb that a lot of us frequent. It is called Body For Life/LowCarbfriend.com but there are all kinds of differant people doing differant things. Right now we have a handful doing CKD too. So come over and play! If you dare ;)

-I got it at Wal-Mart. They also had- Lemon Lime, Black Raspberry (or something to that effect), Original, and of course, Tangerine.

-That's what I figured; just wanted some input. I'm going to cut it out once I get within 2-3 weeks of finishing the 'TKD' though.

-That sounds yummy, didn't even think of throwing it in with some heavy cream. I'm going to go whip that up right now! :D

There is white grape Diet Rite too, I haven't opened mine yet to try it though. I like waist watchers black cherry best of all the sodas I have tried yet. Chantel-can you post the link to that drink recipe please, it sounds yummy.

Yummy...

I gave that recipe a try with the 'Tangerine' flavor. It tasted like it was an 'orange creamsicle' shake. Very tasty.
