Of course you may join us here, or anywhere in the forum!

It's always nice to have new people to share experiences with, and I'm always happy to see another fellow Chicagoan join in!

I know it's hard to admit that you have more than 100lbs to lose. I had to hold onto the wall when I finally hit rock bottom and weighed myself. I was shocked. My denial had run so deep.

But things are better now. I'm down 78lbs, I'm much happier, and I feel so much healthier.

I hope you will join us in the circle of success as well!

Good luck and welcome!

Welcome....and hello!

Hi Debbi

Welcome and hello....I know what you mean about how devastating it feels to know that you have to lose over 100 pds. I too have a big journey ahead of me as well....hopefully the two of us can encourage eachother ....as well as others along the way. They say the first step is the hardest...and we've taken that right! :D

Happy

Debbi,
I'm new, just joined yesterday and I understand what you felt admitting to yourself you needed to lose over 100 lbs. I've always been overweight and have had quite a few issues to deal with because of it, as I'm sure we all have.

I have found a new and perplexing one recently however, and was wondering if I'm alone in it. After having bought a scale for the first time in decades, I weighed myself. I noted the weight, mourned, felt ashamed, ugly and usless, the usual. But then something strange happened, I forgot how much I weighed. When I tried to remember I kept thinking it was MORE than I actually did. Infact when I made out my profile yesterday had actually added 20 lbs to the true total.

I don't need to add to my weight of 229. I certianly don't want to add to it. Is this a common thing, or am I just a nut...lol?

I think we have found a wonderful group here Debbi, and look forward to sharing with your success.
