I do feel great compared to a year ago!

Does it get easier? Yes and no. Yes, the cravings are few and far between now. But don't ever kid yourself into believing -- no matter how many years it's been -- that you can EVER just 'take a drag'. I was stupid enough to do that once. I smoked for 10 years and quit for 11! Then, during a very stressfull time in my life, I 'just took one drag'. I was at the point where I never craved them any more, smoke smelled so awful, and I could not stand to be around smoke. I expected it to taste awful, and to choke and cough. Boy was I wrong -- it tasted SO GOOD!!! And I was hooked again! At first just a couple of drags, then 'borrowing' one from a friend once in a while. After about 3 months of that, I bought my first pack again. It took several tries and 7 years to quit again!

So, yes, it does get easier, but no it never goes completely away. Once you've been a smoker, you can never have 'just one'.
