Munchies

I COULD REALLY USE SOME INSTRUCTIONS ON SOME MUNCHIES.
I FIND IT IS REALLY HARD TO FIND SNACKS. I USUALLY TRY TO
MUCH ON CHEESE, PEPPERONI PIECES, PEANUTS. BUT I NEED
A CHANGE. ANY IDEAS.

I HAVE BEEN ON THIS FOR ONE MONTH AND HAVE LOST ABOUT
12 PDS. IS THIS GOOD OR BAD? CAN I GO UP TO AROUND
50 GMS OF CARBS AND STILL LOOSE WEIGHT OR DO I HAVE
TO STAY AT 25.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

THANK YOU

PAM ARMSTRONG

i kno what ya mean too...

last night i had some popcorn, oops...the night before i had a carmel apple lol...but i was trippin, i knew what i was doing...i think Almonds are good. i bought a bag of nuts that are already in the shells, like walnuts and hazlenuts, etc....it seems kind of cool...i think i would eat less if i have to spend the time to open em...i saw a post here that suggested turkey slices with cream cheese. that sounds really good. i haven't really tried anything for the munchies yet...just the nuts and atkins bars, so i will look out to see what others suggest. thanks for the post.

bye

During induction, you should keep it fairly straight, no taste of sugar or sweetness so you can break the addictions. There are lots of snack lists, try the sticky section at the top of these questions.

After induction, you could cautiously try some of the recipes for sweet treats in the recipe section, but beware that some people have an insulin reaction to anything that resembles sugar and that includes substitute types.

Pam, before you go any further with what you are doing it is very important to get a copy of the new edition of Dr. Atkins New Diet revolution and read the whole thing, not just the chapter on induction. All the hows and whys are laid out in it, from Induction to Ongoing Weight Loss to Lifetime Maintenance.

To try to low carb without a plan to follow is like going on a long road trip without a map. You don't want to do that to yourself.
