Lab results in. Everything is good (except cholesterol was a little up....but hey I told him, the Doctor, that I wasn't fasting that night so that screwed up that test...I was at work and ate pork rinds and dinner before my morning appointment).
Kidneys, liver, pancreas, lytes, whole blood count, everything good! YAY!! I don't know if I mentioned this, but I am a 45 YR old Registered Nurse. You would not believe the crap I took about this diet from everyone...doctors, nurses, EVERYONE...most people are very poorly informed and believe that this diet will make you sick, your kidneys will implode, and it killed Dr Atkins.... none of this is true.

What is true is another nurse went on a NO WHITE diet and won the housewide biggest looser weight off that had begun January of this year. She lost over 55 lbs. I had never heard of this "no whites" and enquired...basically it's no white sugar, no white flower only the super high grain foods and she stuck to it like ...um ...like glue. So that got me thinking after the failure of the low cal/low fat diet...and eventually led me to Atkins.

Oh, did I mention? 8 lbs left to go! And awayyyyyyyy we go!
