Who would have thought pork rinds and macadamia nuts for breakfast

I've been stalled the last three weeks bouncing between 216 and 218. I started using fitday.com yesterday to see what the carb and calorie counts were for the food that I have been eating.

The carbs came out at 42g and the calories came up to 1540. Since I had seen others on this site talk about eating 10 times your weight in calories that mean't I was about 400 to 500 calories short.

I then thought what the hell am I going to eat to get the extra calories. I am stuffed now with what I am eating and I am not hungry between meals so I started searching.

Everything said to increase fat. As I looked for items that had higher fat content I saw that pork rinds were good and I love them. And macadania nuts were also good and high calorie so I said what the heck.

Yesterday morning I added 1/4 cup of macadamia nuts and 1 oz of pork rinds and an Atkins vanilla shake adding about 550 calories to breakfast.

I couldn't believe how much more energy I had yesterday. I was hot all morning and up through the afternoon. I guess I got the old metabolism fired up for sure.

This morning the scale read 214. :spin:

Guess what I had for breakfast again today.

Wow!

Thanks for that terrific, inspiring post! I have been trying to add calories as well, so your post really hit home.

Congratulations on the loss!

Keep up the good work!
