Is is alright to take?

I've read on here a lot of people take cal/mag supplements in one pill but was wondering if it's alright to take it in the form of 2 separate supplements. I decided I would start taking magnesium because I've been reading on here how it helps to keep things moving and it's also helpful with aiding in sleep. I have a bottle of calcium supplement which I haven't been taking and was wondering if it's alright to start taking that along with my manesium? Also, the magnesium supplement I have is 250mg. Should I be taking one a day as the bottle suggests or should I be taking maybe 2 a day? One in the morning and one in the evenng?

Thanx for any help you can be.

Patty

P.S. My calcium is Calcium w/Vitamin D and it's 600mg.

I don't think it matters on the calcium/magnesium that I'm aware however get your vitamin D from a separate pill, it is worthless when it is part of a multi or in a calcium preparation according to this guy who routinely tests D levels in his patient.

Boy that is a bad statement..
D occurs naturally in dairy products like milk, which also contains calcium..I'm sure its not worthless in milk so why would it be when combined in a pill with calcium? the answer.. it is not..

Robert Heaney the worlds leading authority on Calcium says it D should be taken with Calcium..it can help the body absorb calcium from food and supps by over 50%!!!! It is a must for those who do not do this.

Why spend more money on seperate D and calcium when you can buy a bottle that contains both at a lesser price?

Calcium has been combined with D for years and years and people have gotten great results from it. Not to be disrespectful, but things are how they are, and people are always trying to rewrite what is known and established and what has been succesful for alot of people for a lot of years.

Now if you needed extra D, take extra D. but don't think that you won't absorb it if taken along with calcium in the same pill
