Switching plans

Hi there,

Just had a question for those members out there who have had experience with switching LC plans. I started with Atkins and did that for about 3 weeks and lost 5 pounds. But I took a look at the GO diet and it really suited my lifestyle better (some dairly, nuts, etc.). So I've been on GO for a week and this morning the scale showed I gained 3 pounds. Is this pretty typical of switching plans? I'm hoping that my body will ajust to the new LC plan, as I'm eating quite a bit more carbs on GO than on Atkins (went from 25 to about 40 a day). Any advice about this?

I'm not feeling a weight gain at all - in fact, I feel like I'm down in the measurements area, as my clothes seem a little looser this week than they did last week. Strange!

Once you're past Induction, Atkins allows the introduction of more dairy and nuts and even fruits. It sounds like you might be in stuck with the common misconception that the Rule of Induction or the Rules of Atkins. Not so.

If your clothes are fitting more loosely, then the weight gain is probably due to muscle growth and maybe some water retention. Very normal and very probably not related to the plan switch at all.
