Luigi's Italian Ice

I've been wishing that they'd make SF Italian Ice for a while now and at the grocery store today I saw SF Luigit's Italian Ice . On the package they have 1g of sugar but 20g of carbs....anybody know whassup w/this? I'd really like to eat them, but I don't know where that carb count comes from and if they really have that many carbs then I'm not even gonna look at them again.

If it has 20g carbs, but only 1g of sugar, then my guess would be that it contains 19g of sugar alcohols.

ETA: Unless it lists fiber, but you didn't mention any in your post.

thanks, I thought it was probably due to SAs but most of the time when a product contains sugar alcohol it actually SAYS sugar alcohol in the nutritional info. I'll have to get some of these & try them next week :-)

"Ingredients: (Lemon/Cherry) Lemon: water, sorbitol, maltodextrin, citric acid, lemon juice concentrate, natural flavor, guar and xanthan gums, and sucralose. Cherry: Water, sorbitol, maltodextrin, cherry juice concentrate,..."

Be careful not all the carbs are from SA's. They contain lemon juice concentrate & cherry juice concentrate which have carbs.

I might not get any of them...I still haven't decided
