Need help with complex carbs
I'm restarting my LC diet today. My dr. advised me to add complex carbos to my diet. I'm really confused because I did Atkins for 6 years without this. I'm now middle aged and I guess I need complex carbos to balance my diet. I was advised to think of plants as complex carbos. Also, I was told I could eat oatmeal, and hi fiber cereal. (Kashi Go Lean) Also told when I was hungry reach for this hi fiber cereal. 3/4 C has 10 grms fiber and 8 grms of protein. I 'm so totally confused. Help PLEASE!!!!

Hi Kim,
No problem, increase your intake of green veggies, cauliflower, eggplants etc.. If you doctor think you have some mineral and vitamin deficiency, add a strong dosage of a daily multivitamin. There should be no conflict by adding these things to a low-carb lifestyle. Wa'il |
