What I need help with now, is a meal plan. Is there any books out there? Any one have a really good low carb book recipes? i have atkins', but it isn't that great.

I appreciate the help.

Hi Gilta!

Have you had a chance to look at the Low-Carb Kitchen and at the Reader's Recipes and Karen's Recipes at the top of the page yet?

I have looked at the recipes, but they are kind of limited. I love to cook a variety and am looking for a complete book.

here's good one.

It's called The Lowcarb Cookbook by Fran McCullough. It's a recipe book if that's what your looking for. :)

I've bought a couple of low-carb cookbooks and have found them kind of limited--too much time talking about low-carb (which I already know) and not enough interesting recipes. I'm thrilled to have found the diversity of ideas and strategies on this website (and a number of others). I love to cook, too, and I'm much happier seeing how others adapt their personal cooking styles to low carb, which gives me ideas on how to adapt my own.

What, exactly, are you looking for?

Gilta, I was in wal-mart the other day and they had a cook book by Dr. Atkins. He has a line of different books. So look around for his cook book. I don't remember what it is called. All I remember is it has his picture on it and it was a nice size. Good luck Janet

Carbohydrate Addict's Cookbook

Is pretty good. It is all what they term "Craving-Reducing" meals otherwise known as low-carb. You have to keep an eye on some of the ingredients, but since you're past induction, you should be fine.

I bought my mom the Fran McCullough book for Christmas and she loves that one also.
