Aha, the secret of the Whoosh Fairy Revealed!

So, we all love the whoosh fairy, don't we. But I think I know who she is. Who does this sound like to you?
• knows if you've been naughty or good
• never actually been seen
• brings you what you want, but only if you are good!
• only comes when you're asleep ('he knows when you're awake!')

I think you've guessed! I think our whoosh fairy just might have a beard! Perhaps he's got rid of his round tummy and is now long, lean and beautiful from low-carbing!

Please come and see me and all my friends here, Mr Woosh Fairy!, we've been good, honest we have!

*whispering to lastchance*

You're forgetting the other fairy, the Incredible Shrinking Fairy. She comes along when the Whoosh Fairy isn't looking, and steals a few inches without taking away any pounds. If you haven't measured yourself lately, go give it a shot. Maybe the Incredible Shrinking Fairy has been paying you housecalls.

aha, so I should probably leave a gallon of water and plate of raw steak out by the fireplace, right? ;)

Don't forget that Rudolph, Donner and Blitzen, waiting outside, are a really good source of low-saturate fat meat.

Fire up the barbee straight away! :D

Say your prayers first

Now I lay me down to sleep
A cup of Splenda at my feet!
I'll be good and drink my water--
Leave the grape juice for my daughter.
I promise to eat all my eggs,
So take these bulges from my legs!
I'll eat my pork--I'll eat a steer--
Just smooth these bumps off of my rear!
I'll never even look at jelly,
Pease take the blub out of my belly.
These lips will never taste a sweet,
(Oh if I could only see my feet!)
So, please, tonite before I wake,
A few more pounds--Whoosh Fairy--take!

Alas the credit I cannot take
An internet search I did make
by typing in an idle query....
Voila ...A poem to the whoosh fairy

I kind of like the image of the Whoosh Fairy being a male! I see long white beard and ballet slippers!

Thanks all for the giggle!!

It made me giggle

Rustpot,
That is wonderful poem. I make a copy to take to my doctor office tomorrow and I send it to my twin brother who is also on Atkins. Thanks again.

What a laugh you all are! And, Scotsman, you are evil, and even funnier for it!

The incredible shrinking fairy - I will look out for him or her too!

And as for the little male fairy with the beard, does anyone remember the fairy story of the elves and the shoemaker, well I think he might be a bit like one of those? Perhaps a distant relative?

Keep up the humour, it all helps!

I'm not sure what has delighted me more, the poem, or the fact you can spell "voila" :)

donnaj Mon, Feb-04-02 19:12

I agree

I think you maybe right about the male fairy. He does this for a second job. :D
