Having a rough time!

I was 8 days into induction and last night i ate pizza. I am having alot of marital problems and I am finding it hard to stay focused. So, I am on day 1 of induction and so badly want to stay focused on my eating habits. Any advice would be deeply appreciated.

Forgive Yourself

Forgive yourself and start again.

Everyone does fall off the wagon!

It is a way of life that we need to get used to.

Drink lots of water and go back to strict induction. Don't weigh yourself for 2 days.

Stay positive!

Good advice from Terrie, there!

The easiest way to not eat carbs is, I think, not having access to them. What happened that pizza was around you? could you have ordered a chef salad instead? Could you have eaten elsewhere? Could you have brought your own food, if it were a function? If there was no other choice, why not eat just the top of the pizza, leaving the crust? (yes, its a mess and looks funny, but you stay on program that way!)

I'm so sorry you're having marital problems--they are extremely stressful. But if you keep eating from stress, and these problems go on another year, and you end up weighing 200 pounds, won't that be even more stressful? A number of people here--and elsewhere--have eaten themselves from stress to worse stress just like this. Try to find other ways to cope with stress--treat yourself really well and have as much private, "down" time as you can manage to arrange.

You deserve the best treatment of yourself, including eating healthily and being at a weight that makes you feel good about yourself.
