Decaf Coffee - is it ok to drink?

Is it okay to drink decaf coffee? I drink about two 8 fl.oz mugs per day with a tblspoon of heavy cream in each mug. I do count the carbs for the coffee and the cream.

The rest of the time I drink water or herbal tea. But I love coffee in the morning!

Essentially if it doesn't stop your weight loss it's ok for YOUR plan :) We all differ. If your loss slows or you don't lose you may wish to reevaluate any item you have doubts about. You see we really know our bodies it's just learning to listen. Most times when weight loss slows or stops and we ask if x, y, or z is ok we already know it's a trouble area deep down inside, that's why we ask. Anyway listen to your body and see how it responds. Maybe try two weeks without the item and see if there's any difference.

Thanks for your post

Well I have been losing - I drank decaf coffee the entire first week of my diet and lost 11 pounds. I did almost grind to a halt in my second week and eventually I am down 1lb. I don't know if my 'stall' was to do with the coffee or other things I introduced last week (such as nuts, burger king cheese burgers without the bun, or the cream in the coffee).

I couldn't find a post anywhere that said essentially if decaf is ok or not. So I asked. In theory something that has only a trace of caffine and 1 carb per 8 fl.oz should be ok in moderation - you would think.

Has anyone experienced a stall because of decaf coffee ???
