Daily Menu Thread -- Tuesday, January 15
Please post your menus for today -- either what you've planned or what you actually ate -- so that we can share ideas. Newbies, and Stuckies, especially, need to see models of what a low carb menu looks at, and everybody can use a good idea!
Protein Power Lifetime Plan Breakfast -- 1 slice Hunger Filler Bread (7 carbs), 1 tbl butter, 4 oz sliced deli no sodium ham Lunch will be -- filet mignon, spinach, butter Dinner will be -- 2 chicken thighs, either cabbage or red pepper stir fry Snacks: salami, cheddar cheese |
B: eggs scrambled with sausage
L: leftover chicken (coated in butter and sesame seeds then baked--really a nice combo!) and artichoke hearts S: rump roast and [some frozen veggie] Sn: almonds, jerky, or seeds |
Tuesday
B: Three cheese Quiche
L: 8oz Steak (on Sale!!) D: Taco Salad. Did you know that white corn taco shell has 4 carbs for one? (I minused the fiber) Snacks I had two chocolate covered coffee beans :eek: :p |
menu 1-15-02
Here's what I had
breakfast: LC tortilla filled with scrambled eggs and mexican sausage and topped with cheddar cheese and salsa lunch: Soup with WASA crackers dinner: Chinese fried "rice" with grilled sesame chicken snack: home-made sugar free vanilla ice-cream ;) |
breakfast was 5 rashers of bacon
snack: 1 cheese slice and one salami stick Lunch: salmon, courgette and cream cheese omlette :yum: dinner: chicken drumsticks and salad Lesley |
6:30 AM Cup of coffee w/ 1 sweet-n-low and heavy cream
8 AM 4 little sausage patties w/ tiny bit shredded cheese 10:30 AM EAS Protein Shake (Strawberry Cream) 12:15 PM Piece of Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole w/ T sour cream leftover from last night's dinner and 1 chocolate pb glob 2:20 PM 1 choc pb glob 3:30 PM 1 string cheese 5:15 PM Piece of grilled chicken seasoned with lemon pepper and steamed brocolli 6 PM Cup of coffee w/ 1 sweet-n-low and heavy cream :) Never anything too exciting!!! |
